Note that there are roughly two categories: HF = high frequency, and LF= low frequency.
One is for communication, radio frequency, wifi, mobile, radar, etc.
Again, 2 sub categories, one for the lower, one for higher frequencies, depending on the transmitters you are trying to measure. Wifi for example comes in two frequency bands, 2.4GHz and 5 GHz.
The other is for the energy fields surrounding cabling, whether in a building or as power lines, outside.
Some companies sell instruments that claim to do all this in one unit, for a minimal price. - Please consider the physics and be sceptical.
