My wife is an artist, so we are used to being surrounded by art in our home.

It really is a rare privilege, especially to have original art. Having said that, prints are of such quality now, that you can barely tell the difference.

When I visit other homes, I often am surprised at the lack of art. An empty wall calls out to me: Tell them, they need an artwork, here!!

What does art do to a space? Considering that our cave-dwelling ancestors already created art and ornaments on their walls, it seems to be a very shared human experience. We now think that they made those representations of nature for sacred reasons, but we may never know.- They might have created them just for fun. (Isn’t that sacred?)

The joy of making something that is a true creation and entirely unique in the universe, is quite compelling. Just as every home and apartment is different, and every person is a unique individual, we chose different art to represent us and our ‘taste’. We each need different scenes, colours, structures.. and when we find them, we get a surprising and never ending amount of joy out of them.

Please feel encouraged and motivated to go art-hunting. The Blue Mountains alone have countless galleries, that would love to welcome you. Each one is different, and you will quickly find your favourites. Be never put off by the prices of originals, - ask for prints! I very much believe that everyone can afford art, these days.

There is a new section on my website, where I will offer some of the art my wife created. However, there are many other websites and online galleries waiting for your browsing.

Find some art, enrich your space, enrich your life!
